Of the 100 billion garments produced each year, 92 million tonnes end up in landfills. To put things in perspective, this means that the equivalent of a rubbish truck full of clothes ends up on landfill sites every second. If the trend continues, the number of fast fashion waste is expected to soar up to 134 million tonnes a year by the end of the decade.*

At Prism, we feel the pain of waste. In line with our efforts to reduce waste in our painting, we work to upcycle existing textiles and fast fashion. Rather than a high cost screen printed new t-shirt, our merchandise is comprised entirely of handmade and recycled/upcycles clothing and each piece is one-of-a-kind. The proceeds of the Prism Studios Merch line function to help subsidize painting costs in order to allow us to continue to provide art making opportunities to our community.

Due to the nature of upcycled clothing all sales are final.
